In the different outcrops of the Los Cayos site, 900 ichnites have been documented in 50 trails, belonging to large and small theropods, sauropods, ornithopods and avian theropods. Los Cayos is one of the places with dinosaur tracks that has awoken most interest in Spain. Tracks have been found here which belong to the Buckeburgichnus and Therangospodus dinosaur ichnogenera. There are also some of the few theropod tracks in the world with dinosaur tail marks.
